Heading to Eugene this weekend? The 4A, 5A and 6A schools are competing at Hayward Field in Eugene; if you've earned your diploma there's still the chance for you to get your dose of racing in. The 2nd Annual Jog for Jim 5k is also this Saturday, May 19th. The race is near and dear to the hearts of Warsaw students (myself included, MBA '03) because it's for Jim Warsaw, who founded the Warsaw Center. In doing so, he guaranteed that the University of Oregon would remain a leader in the sports business industry, attracting top industry educators such as Paul Swangard and Dennis Howard to the program. Warsaw was diagnosed with Parkinson's years ago, yet he is still contributing to the sports education of hundreds of students each year. Race directors are hoping that he'll be at the race again this year to warm up the crowd and help raise money for the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Read the full article at: blog.oregonlive.com
